I am a few years younger than the era port...Wrong. I am a few years younger than the era portrayed here, but within that era, the characters themselves are believable. As far as Lenz and Holden are concerned, she's believable as a hippy with a heart and he does come through as a conflicted and charming middle-aged man. (A lower-key version of his character in Network). The audience can feel engaged with these characters.

And since I have had to live through a similar situation as him, I know what he has to deal with is portrayed correctly. Being divorced at middle aged means meeting a lot of people and dealing with old friends, some of whom want to join in your crisis, some who want to pull away. And it also means meeting some people who are not good for you. (The hippies are gone, but their spirit lives on).Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04841376625064388109noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8823340817818385797.post-5931238231622535092019-06-02T11:07:35.875-07:002019-06-02T11:07:35.875-07:00Defines dud. Awful, unbelievable and uninteresting.
This tanked I'm sure at the BO and this film would never and shouldn't have made it to theaters except for some of the names involved. Truly uninvolving.
