The sleaze is powerfully alluring and the film is a lot of fun for those of us who love noir. Harry Dean Stanton is terrific in his small role as an obnoxious cop who hates Marlowe and who gives off bad vibes just standing still with his mouth closed. The Moose is engaging and Rampling is bewitchingly evil and decadent, even though she is hardly the most beautiful actress who could have been cast in this part. The performances make this film worth watching more than once.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12649810498674604017noreply@blogger.com
