It was very-well made, and it's a shame that it never seemed to have gotten the attention it deserved. Richert also passed away recently---this was only one of only a handful of films he directed, I think. squeakhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05605962176523261516noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8823340817818385797.post-79473728319881503452020-11-26T05:36:47.412-08:002020-11-26T05:36:47.412-08:00A friend who shares my love of bizarre 70s schlock...A friend who shares my love of bizarre 70s schlock cinema came across this film on Amazon Prime video (as I’m sure you know a great resource for this genre) and I immediately searched out your review and watched it. I loved it, particularly when Bridge’s character inexplicably mounts a stallion, proceeds to ride it at breakneck speed across a vast and incomprehensible vista of mountainous terrain, abruptly stops and screams ‘You stink, Pa!’. And of course, the screaming sex scene. <br />I know the human behavior, interaction between individuals, acting styles, etc that you see in film of the past, particularly the gonzo 70s is often startlingly different from today, but I cannot imagine that this film was anything other that intentional parody of the political conspiracy films that proceeded it. It’s just too weird. From your review I didn’t draw that you felt as strongly that it was intentionally campy. Just wanted to get your thoughts on this.
