It&...I just watched this one and really enjoyed it. It's a slow burn, sure, but it also plays by a different set of rules: it being a European/mainly Italian production. Italian films, as I'm sure you are well aware, don't stringently hold to the trappings of straight genre definition. Often times, they're a slightly odd blend of several different types of genres. Anyhow, the double crosses worked for me, and the ending is well worth it, I think. It is slow at time, and there a totally ridiculous train/fuel-dump explosion number, which serves no purpose maybe other than to thrill audience in 1978 - those weened of the tit 70's disaster films. Van Cleef I thought was great, as was Keran Black. Anyway, my two cents. Just stumbled across the the site and love it. I can't wait to delve deeper.
